Sunday at Scarboro – June 16, 2019

Worship Start Time: 10:30am
Theme: Trinity Sunday
Special Guest: Joe Kadi

Come to Scarboro as we worship together every Sunday. We will have the coffee on at 10, so come early and catch up with your community.

Right after the worship service there will be congregational meeting to hear and vote on our Ministry Profile & Search Committee's recommendations regarding our ministry needs at Scarboro. Please plan to attend. After the meeting, head down to the Memorial Hall for a cuppa and some conversation.

Congratulations, our Easter 'Journey to Jerusalem' was a success! By tallying our physical, spiritual & community activities, we managed to 'travel' over 11,000km - from Calgary to Jerusalem and then some! Thank you to everyone who participated.

Are you interested in a summer yoga class? Check out our new renter, Holly Lewis, offering day-time yoga, beginning with a six week series starting THIS TUESDAY, June 18 at 10:45am. Find out more about the class and how to confirm with Holly.

Sunday at Scarboro – May 19, 2019

Worship Start Time: 10:30am
Theme: Journey to Jerusalem - Week Four

Come to Scarboro as we worship together every Sunday. We will have the coffee on at 10, so come early and catch up with your community.

This Easter season, we are logging distance walked, steps counted, minutes of physical activity - and also spiritual activity (prayer, scripture verses, meditation), and participation in & service to our church community. Find the tear off slip on the back of the ScarboroNews to log your total 'kilometers' as we strive to cover the distance from Calgary to Jerusalem between now and Pentecost.

So far, we were hoping to find ourselves somewhere in the midst of the Atlantic Ocean (the official mileage will be tallied and posted online on Monday). Whether we make our goal or not, we will keep on moving with a new goal of Torrelavga, Spain for May 26.

Each Sunday we will pause to pray for the cities, towns, and countries that we pass through:

This week, we pray for our peers in Ontario who are living into Right Relations and the spirit of the TRC process by officially transferring the site of the historic village of Fairfield, operated as a historical park and museum by the United Church of Canada, back to the Eelünaapéewi Lahkéewiit people of Delaware Nation. After worship, head down to the Marilyn Perkins - Memorial Hall for a cup of tea or coffee and good conversation. See you there!

Sunday at Scarboro – May 12, 2019

Worship Start Time: 10:30am
Theme: Journey to Jerusalem - Week Three

Come to Scarboro as we worship together every Sunday. We will have the coffee on at 10, so come early and catch up with your community.

This Easter season, we are logging distance walked, steps counted, minutes of physical activity - and also spiritual activity (prayer, scripture verses, meditation), and participation in & service to our church community. Find the tear off slip on the back of the ScarboroNews to log your total 'kilometers' as we strive to cover the distance from Calgary to Jerusalem between now and Pentecost.

This week, we aspire to reach Hawkes Bay, Newfoundland (the official mileage will be tallied and posted online on Monday). Whether we make our goal or not, we will keep on moving with a new goal for May 19.

Are you attending (or helping out with) Friday's Community Soup Night? Are you participating in the Fruits of the Spirit workshops on Saturday? Be sure to include them on your tally sheet!

Each Sunday we will pause to pray for the cities, towns, and countries that we pass through:

As we travel across Ontario and Eastern Canada this week, we pray for advocates working for children's health & education, our environment, meaningful reconciliation with First Nations, and fair, accountable representation for Canadians across the country. We also pray for the community of Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug (also known as KI or Big Trout Lake) in the wake of a fire that killed five people, including four young children.

After worship, head down to the Marilyn Perkins - Memorial Hall for a cup of tea or coffee and good conversation. See you there!
