Sundays at Scarboro – March 8, 2020

Worship Start Time: 10:30am
Theme: Ritual & Reconciliation: Lent II | Creation

Sunday worship begins at 10:30am and we will have the coffee on for 10 o'clock. Today, as we continue our journey through the season of lent, we will explore how our rituals help us to reconcile with creation. After service, come down to the Memorial Hall for coffee or tea and community. All are welcome.

The Indigenous & Non-Indigenous Men's Talking Stick Healing Ceremony meets Sunday at 1pm in the Social Room. This is an opportunity for men to work towards healing, community, and understanding. Worship Start Time: 10:30am
Theme: Season of Creation: Web of Life - Week 4 - Orange Shirt Day
Special Guest: Joe

Come to Scarboro as we worship together every Sunday. We will have the coffee on at 10, so come early and catch up with your community.

Don't forget to wear your orange shirts to church to recognise and honour Indigenous children who were forced to endure the residential school system in Canada. Don't have an orange shirt? We will have something to pin on, so that all can participate.

After worship, come down to the Marilyn Perkins - Memorial Hall for coffee or tea and some good conversation. Calgary Co-op Gift Cards are for sale at coffee time, pick some up and give back to Scarboro while you do your usual grocery shopping.

Important dates to remember:

Sep 28, Oct 5 & 12: Oatcake bees in the Memorial Hall - join the Holy Rollers at 7:30am and learn how to make the perfect 'Scarboro Oatcake'!

Sep 29: Orange Shirt Day - wear orange to commemorate the trauma suffered by Indigenous children at residential schools. Every Child Matters.

Oct 19: Fall Fest - collecting books, jewellery, scarves & handbags, and artwork for sale - along with the usual baked goods & oatcakes! (psst! also collecting ice cream buckets to package all those wonderful oatcakes!)
