Children & Youth Worship

Sunday Morning Worship

There are currently no in-person worship services at Scarboro due to COVID-19.

Jennifer led online children's programming over Advent and Lent before the main Sunday worship service. We are currently taking a summer break, and encourage families and children of all ages to engage with our 10:30am online worship service. We can't wait to see you in the fall! Have a wonderful summer, you can contact Jennifer directly at [email protected] in you have any further questions.

In-person worship services begin with everyone together in the Sanctuary, before children head downstairs to explore the weekly theme with Jennifer in their own worship space. Families with babies & toddlers are welcome to use the Nursery, or make us of quiet activities available at the back of the Sanctuary. Youth are invited to participate in the worship service. Let us know if you would like to help organize a particular youth activity or volunteering opportunity.

YOUTH WORSHIP: Grades 7 to 12

There is no separate Sunday programming for the youth at this time. We had looked forward to several opportunities to meet up outside of church for fun activities - from bowling to axe throwing, as well as service oriented trips to facilities like the Calgary Drop-In Centre - but unfortunately in these times of COVID-19, this has not been possible. Stay tuned for future plans, and if you want to be involved in youth programming, please reach out to Jennifer and let us know!

For more information on youth events, check out our Youth Registration Form and Parent Information.

CHILDREN’S WORSHIP: Kindergarten to Grade 6

In the Children’s Worship Space children participate in immersive, multi-age worship. Jennifer Spielman guides the children through different themes, keeping a close relationship to the themes and scriptures happening upstairs and following the flow of the church year. Children explore these themes through stories, crafts, activities, games and discussion. We invite the children to explore spirituality and experience going-deeper moments in a nurturing, inclusive environment.

NURSERY: Preschoolers, Toddlers & Babies

When in-person services and children's programming resumes, families with little ones are welcome to use the Nursery on Sunday mornings. When the Nursery is staffed, you are invited to bring preschoolers, toddlers, and babies who can sit unassisted, when they are ready. Please leave a cell phone number on the whiteboard in the Nursery in case we need to reach you during the service.
