Sundays at Scarboro – November 1, 2020

Worship Start Time: 10:30am - Virtual Service
Theme: Mr. Rogers | The Beatitudes & All Saints

Log on to our online worship this Sunday as we continue our six week sermon series exploring the life lessons of Mr. Rogers. This week: the beatitudes, and a lesson about a fish tank...

Our Thursday morning book group is meeting online, digging into Gavin Edwards' book Kindness and Wonder: Why Mister Rogers Matters Now More Than Ever. Contact Erin for more information.

You are invited to join a watch party Sunday at 1pm for the documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor? Simply stay logged on after church and coffee time, and settle in with a snack to watch the film. If that time doesn't work for you, feel free to watch the movie on your own schedule and then join us for an online discussion of the film at 2:20 pm. (Note: this is the 2018 documentary, not the Tom Hanks film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood - which is also excellent!)

To access the Virtual Worship Service, on Sunday, click here.

Alternatively, you can participate via telephone at 587-328-1099 & enter Meeting ID: 826 9983 3851# - if you are asked for a participant ID, just press # to be connected.

To avoid disruptions to our service & maintain our standard of care, participants' video and audio will be disabled during the service. You are encouraged to use the "Speaker View" rather than the "Gallery View" during the service.  Catch up and see your church family via video during our regular coffee time. This resource may be helpful  if you are struggling to join us online. You can also reach out to [email protected] for assistance.

Updates on the use of our physical building are available here.

The Calgary Alliance for the Common Good's Fall Assembly is this Thursday, Oct 29, at 7pm. Please consider registering here to attend. This is an opportunity to publicly bring forward and build tension around the Alliance’s joint focus on the city budget and Truth and Reconciliation. As a member organisation, we are hoping to commit 20 people to attend the Assembly on behalf of our community.
